Default Sand's Truck Repair

I found a truck repair facility in Royalton, MN. I've driving past the place for years, but had no reason to stop in and chat with the folks until now, so I stopped in yesterday and talked with the lady at the counter. I explained to her that I was looking for a shop to do maintence work for me like, oil changes, air brake service, Allison tranny service, Cat 3208 stuff and front end work. She told me they work on buses from time to time, and service on the Cat would not be an issue. She invited me to go into the shop and talk with a guy named Brad, so I did He and his partner were working on a Pete when I intruded on them, but he dropped what he was doing and listened to what I had to say He told me that, they can do what I need and did'nt shy away from me when I told him my Bluebird was a motorhome. All he asked was what year? All he asked for was that I give enough lead time for the appointment. He said that the shop rate was $75 an hour and they're open seven days a week Has anyone ever heard of a truck repair shop being open seven days a week. Anyway, I just thought I'd throw this info out there.

7 days a week is not that common for a small shop, but not unheard of in an economy like this. Truckers need to work every day to make a living and need their trucks serviced outside of working hours. The shop would probably be happiest if you scheduled your FC in on a Tue, Wed or Thursday. It would probably work to your advantage as well as they would be more thorough than they might be on their busy days.

A real truck shop is open 16 to 24 hrs daily. If you want to stay friendly with a service shop, remove everything out of the way of the engine room, that you don't want trashed before taking the bus over.
