Hi KC & Emma,

We have stayed at the SanCarlos RV Park and Island Resort. It was a decent place and the location was very convenient to the beach. It is located near the base of the bridge to Ft.Myers Beach so you can take the trolly or walk to the beach. Because it is not actually on Estero Island (Ft Myers Beach proper) you don't get stuck in all of the beach traffic.

We have also stayed at the Red Coconut RV Park right on the beach. Great location but it is difficult to get around based on the island traffic.

I went to college in Fort Myers, my wife is from Fort Myers, and we still visit there often. We absolutely LOVE to stay at the W.P. Franklin Campground, which is directly on the Caloosahatchee River . The campground is almost completely surrounded by the Caloosahatchee River with just a narrow stretch of land connecting it to the shore. The problem is that it is owned by the core of engineers, and has a dirt cheap rate, which causes it to book very quick. If you can get in it's a great place, about 15 miles east of Fort Myers. During the summer months we stay there (wifes parents live about 5 miles away) but during the season the northern folks book it up months in advance, especially on the weekends.
