Default shock absorbers

Searching this forum, I find very little regarding shocks for my particular year.
But searching the internet, I find the following OEM numbers:
Front: 90-1968-SP1
Drive: 1750793
Tag: 1722214
Can anyone confirm this numbers are correct for 1997 models?

If they are, then the following shocks would supposedly fit:
Front: Monroe 65430, Gabriel 85712
Drive: Monroe 65474, Gabriel 85712
Tag: Monroe 65421, Gabriel 85030
Anyone use any of those shocks?
I did not investigate Konis.

I agree with Bill I have Koni on the front and they feel great and I have Monroe on the rear not as good as the Konis but there is 2 years difference in age. If my vote counts go for the Konis.

Brian,
If your bus has Koni shocks on it now you will be able to get the numbers off of them. Koni stamps the numbers into the steel.

Default Koni shock setting

I will be replacing my front shocks soon - with Koni 90-2497SP1.
I want to preset before installing.
What have you fellas found to be the best setting on the Koni adjustable shocks. The only number I have seen is 1/3-1/2 turn from softest. And that was for a later model LXI.
My coach is a 1989 PT40 - front tires are TOYO 315's on 9" wheels - initial psi @ 120.
Ideas and suggestions welcome.

Brian,
These are the #'s for the 96 WB-42. I think they are the same, but they lowered the engine in 97 so check it good.
SHOCKS Koni
Front 90-1968 $166
Drive Axle 9005-1025 $191
Tag Axle 8805-1010 $148

Good Luck
Dano

Default 1997 WB 41 tag shock

I need to change my drag tag axle shocks on my 1997 41' WLWB. I currently have Gabriel T009280B AS-789B. I talked to ridewell and say said that the shocks were provided by Bluebird. I got the specs for the shock lengths from ridewell and it says the col. 13.73" and the ext. 21.74". I talked to Koni and they only have for LX or LXI #88051010 col. 14.1" and ext. 21.8". Since the Koni col length is longer, what would be another good option?
