For some people, a musical instrument is a tool; for some, a friend and partner. For me, it's the loyal opposition.

We will undoubtedly keep at least one or two as I am sure not all will sell. As for hanging them on the wall....he will never do that. They remain snug in their cases with drier packs, safely under the bed I constructed to house them.
I would like to see him bring at least one on the road with us as I do enjoy listening to it, but it seems around the house, we are both too busy to find time to do this.

So far we have sold the ES 330 and the scalloped neck. The rest are still for sale.

When I was yard selling before full-time, I had a okay mid 80s Yamaha 12 string for $125. Someone tried to talk me downs and I said, "I rather burn it in a fire, I'd get more satisfaction." She bought it!

Love my Yammy 12. Play it nearly every day (and every year at Pine Mountain).

Yep, that's about where he is with it as well. Been getting a lot of low ball offers, like half the asking price, especially overseas and then they balk at the ridiculous international shipping cost, like I can control the postal service. :roll eyes:
His opinion is these are true 1980's guitars, a few he is the original owner and one he never even played! He will not give them away. They are his babies, I am just the storefront. If they don't sell when we are ready to hit the road, I may talk the daughter into allowing us to store them in the house, along with my record collection, so they are not ruined by being in storage.
If they don't sell now, they will only increase in value.

Nor sure which one we will bring on the road. He wanted to bring the ES 330, but it was the first one that sold.....
