Default Wannabe off to be a Newbie

Hello,
Well I just wanted to keep everyone posted. I leave Saturday to fly out to Erie, PA. to pickup my Bird. A 1985 FC-35 RB. I feel very good about this one, owner has done alot of work on it in the past couple of years including new tires. This past week I've just been trying to get everything in order. I think the logistics of this trip are going to kill me thats if the stress does'nt do me in first! Taking the wife and kids to help navigate our long trip home to Phoenix.

Dave:

Congratulations on your purchase. I hope your trip back home goes well !

I think it bodes well that you are including your family in the return trip to Phoenix, and it will be memories they and you will share for many years to come.

Good luck, and remember to take your computer in case you have to lean on this forum for any advice, and also to keep us informed about your adventure's along the way. Thanks

Dave, best wishes on your coach. As I mentioned a while ago, you are welcome to stop here at our "campground" to rest and visit

Good luck and safe travels! Too bad you couldn't find one closer to home, especially that recent listing of one in AZ for $10K.

Thank you all for the warm wishes...

Ernie, We will be passing to the north on I-40 this time, but will keep you in mind in the future.

Markus, I saw that post for the 82 here in town. I seem to never find what I am looking for that is close. The Bird I am buying is worth the trip.

John, I will keep you in mind when passing through Oklahoma City.

Woody,
I guess there is nothing like jumping in head first. Family is there to keep me grounded and keep me on track. Thanks.

If you head West from Erie, you have friends in Ohio and lower Michigan
