Ok I have also had the joy,(hah), to remove the miserable vinyl mask. I found that a wagner wallpaper steamer worked best, for it also removed the adhesive glue without using harsh chemicals.
It will take time and you may have to schedule more than 1 session to do it. Mine was baked in the winter desert sun facing south and the dark green paint underneath made it so brittle that it came off only in small pieces. My son, a window tinter used a heat gun and it did not work as well as steam. Good luck for those who are having this miserable issue.

MY project is under way only three middle sections to go and done. Would like to cover this area with a custom made BRA, any ideas on where to get these made, vinyl or leather or what???
