For the other side of the story, Diesel is $2.699 here in Eureka, CA, while regular is at $2.799 and rising!

FYI - $1.849 at Murphys on Zaragosa a couple weeks ago on the pass thru. See they've gone up a little but the M on Gateway @ I-10 is still at $1.869.

Don - That $2.07 at Q might make a trip worth it just for the fill-up?

I am beginning to think investing in cheap diesel fuel may be a better bet than the stock market. I don't think anyone believes it will last, but who knows.
Love it while it last.

Check out the ticker USO (United States Oil) . It might be one stock better than diesel . eventually .
It is low and yes could go lower but remember the couch you are sitting on right now reading this uses oil to help make it. . Pretty much everything uses oil.

How low can crude go? Geez. I don't know and believe me I love it for what we pay for fuel but you gotta think at some point we reach bottom.
Maybe

Come on guys...don't jinx this. Wife and I are going to try and full-time this year and we don't want the Mischief-Angels to read this tread and jack the prices up just because that's the kind of luck I have.

John,
Check out some of the regional COOP's around the country. Usually farmer related COOP's. You may already know this but you can buy a minimum amount of fuel (around 1000 gallons) at a locked price. Trucking companies, cities, airports etc. do it all the time. Currently above what you can pay cash for it now but if the "jinx" does occur, you get the same price for the year.
Yep, it's a bet and you need to buy from the same supplier. Although some suppliers have a very large footprint nationally and if you are full timing you might fill up in "those" areas. Could be a good bet... But it is a bet.

Jim - at that price would you email me about 1000 gallons.

(for those that remember - a blast from the past)
