Plus my glasses...

Since this was an option apparently added in 1983, I suspect it was a bit of trial and error on the part of BB so maybe ours isn't laid out like the more modern ones after they got a design they liked and ran with it.

Above the drivers head is the blinker solenoid and a bazillion wires of varying colors. Also in this cavity is a box, possible a PMMI ,next to the back-up monitor. We will go again , after breakfast and investigate further.

Silly me, I thought if I just replaced the bulbs and put the lights in the fixture, they would magically work. What was I thinking?

I'm going out on cliff here, but since we have never talked about the cornering lights on WOG before (go ahead John W,prove me wrong!)
that the way BB did it was probably ok.
The PMMI boards were pretty good stuff,we don'y have many problems with them either.

Exactly Randy. Should I include some pictures or just do a fresh thread complete with pictures once we figure it out?

Don't forget the Pontiac Parisienne. It looks like it had those lights, but with a difference bezel. I bet the fender hole is the same. Not that you'll ever find one.

The last thing you want to do is argue with John Wyatt, before you have proof in hand. John doesn't make many mistakes and will most likely have researched his information before he posts. I for one, will always listen to John, when he speaks.

Yea that looks like it. Looks like only certain trim levels had it.

BTW, I know that when you turned the 4 way flashers on my Lincoln both cornering lamps would come on.
