New Suburban furnaces are relatively cheap and definitely the way to go.

Rebuilt my Dometic RM4804 3 way refrigerator/Ice maker after it developed an ammonia leak. CO2 detector was alarming when I walked by the coach at 5:30 am one morning.

Ordered a new cooling pack from RV Cooling Unit Warehouse who sells the units built by Pines RV Refrigeration in Shipshewana, Indiana.

This also gave me a chance to replace some questionable wood just inside the side vent panel as well as clean and seal the refer cabinet area.
Easy job after you locate all the screws they used to secure it in the cabinet.

Installed a new fan on the back with an adjustable thermostat to increase heat dissipation up the vent as well as a 2 fan unit on the evaporator inside.
Too big to get it out the coach door, so I did the replacement inside.
Still have to slide it back in and connect the water/AC/DC and LP gas after all the caulking dries.

Load tested all batteries, cleaned terminals, checked AquaHot fluid level, installed new pressure cap on genny and exercised it under load.

Bought Chris Damon's former 87 FC35 from Randy S. in FL last night, following which we drove all over creation to find a killer seafood place.

Drove it home to Augusta today and parked it in the bus barn for lots of remedial work before resale in the spring, so if you want a very good FC35, wait until warmer weather is upon us and I ought to be able to hand you something special. Despite its immediate needs, it's a very good bus, it made the trip without so much as a hiccup, most of it dragging my Mini Cooper from Randy's to my shop in Savannah. Oh and truckers love FC35s! The horn got a workout all day. Saw many Prevosts headed south, must be a Christmas rally somewhere warm, but no other Birds.

I'll be asking lots of questions as my last FC was almost perfect for the duration of my 3 year ownership and this one is somewhat different. Need to get the jacks working, solve some air leaks, clean the radiator, figure out how to replace the pickup tube in the fuel tank, et.c. Should be fun.

Fixed the jacks on the 87 FC35 today. One broken wire at the control panel - solenoid ground from the lever bar. Fluid was full and all else old but working as with most of these! That's one item off an arm-long list.

The mild weather this week is allowing me to get the cover off - much of the ice had melted and the rest I could lift off in slabs. Santa brought me a Camco Gen-Turi and I've got that fitted up to our FC. Easy fit up to the existing exhaust. I re-insulated the genny compartment years ago so this should make our set up even quieter.

Also replaced my full battery bank with 6 new GC-2 deep cycle 6 volt units. We’re averaging 7 years to replacement per my records.

About 10 days until our departure for "Q".

After finishing the install of the new convector for the Hurricane under my bathroom closet, I removed the Bose system from my M380. Repurposed the rather useful compartment that once housed a Bose Cinemate speaker above the driver's seat for sunglasses and other junk, I had some carpet scraps around that trimmed it out nicely (I am not a professional upholsterer!)
