Default Dual Hitch Receiver

We taking our bikes to Birds @ Beach and would like to carry them on the back of the bus instead on the back of the car. Amazon has this one but I can't get it in time. Any stores carry these? Any good or bad brands? Anything else I need to know?

Default Roadmaster Dual hitch receiver

We use the "Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter, 4" Drop/Rise" to both lower the
tow bar for towing the towed and we carry the bikes on a bike rack on the top receiver. Heavy, strong and overbuilt.
We got ours from e-trailer.

Thanks, Keirn

That does indeed look like a brute. I need the lower receiver to be at the same level it is now, not dropped. I will research to see if any camping stores sell the Roadmaster.

We got a dual from CW.
The top receiver is recessed from the bottom receiver.
However, the bottom receiver is below the original position, not inline.
If you flip the pic from post #3 and recess the top you would have what we have.
I do not remember the price.

Make sure you have clearance for the upper receiver... On mine it would hit the engine cover..

The one in the picture in post 3 is a 2 or 4 inch drop or raise depending on which side is up.

On my BMC37 it fits fine as a 4 inch drop and I can even open the hood and leave the tow bar attached. I do take the bike rack off to open the hood however.

Only issue with Harbor Freight is the 4,000 rating.

http://www.harborfreight.com/multi-u...unt-66966.html

I use one for my trailer and could use it on my 3,000 Kia Tow'd if needed. But I purchased it for the trailer so I could mount a portable winch on the top receiver if needed to pull up vehicles. It has a 5,000 rating and I welded a support to the upper receiver.
