Johns genny (APU vadie) had the marathon on it when he bought it.

is that something you might want to do?
My Marathon is also a 15K instead of the 12.5K Kohler, it was installed when Budweiser still had it. Here is a Marathon source;

Default Kohler 12.5 Generator Rotor

Woody:
There is a fan on the other end, but the weights could be used as a fan as well I guess.

Randy:
Yup, took it apart while under the coach. I have shrunk so I can sit under there comfortably, I had to stand up to lift it though, then onto the ground and rolled it out from under the coach. Putting it back in would be difficult though LOL.

Default Kohler 12.5 Generator Rotor

Thanks folks for all the replys.
Instead of looking for parts to fix the Kohler, would almost all have to be new anyhow, I will look for a seperate new generator end. With the dollar going crazy, I certainly will have to look serious where I purchase the machine.

Default Kohler 12.5 Generator Rotor

Forgot to ask one question:
How does one pull the rotor off the shaft?

your in luck!
since your rotor is bad,you can put a small jack between the rotor and the engine.
the rotor is on a tapered shaft,remove the long bolt from the very back first!
