Default 2” Dual Needle Air Gauge for M380

Thanks Don. That I could find no gold bezels are available, may be able to swap from dummy. Found this: VIAIR 90082 Dual Needle. Is available from several sources including Amazon for $35.95.

When I was installing the new 12v compressor, I decided to add a second air hose connection off the aux air tank. The new compressor can fill the front tires and backups are always nice. With the two air hose connections I could easily drop in a pressure gauge on either air system, but it was inconvenient to be moving the gauge back and forth and asking the DW to watch it as I worked and report back by phone link.

I realized I already had a system for remotely reporting pressures, my tire pressure monitoring system. I've got an A1A. So I made up two tire valves, attached them to two male air hose connectors and plugged them into the two air hose female connectors. Then I screwed on my dinghy tire sending units onto the tire valves. I used the handheld A1A unit to monitor as I worked.

It was not a good permanent solution due to the alarms and changing pressures on the air system, but it helped as I tracked leaks and tried to figure out where the check valves were and how the systems were connected.

I haven't studied the A1A in detail, so it may be possible to turn off alarms that bothered me. If not, I wonder if A1A isn't missing a new market - remotely monitoring the coach air systems. I suspect a simple software change would allow monitoring of air pressures without alarms, or with more suitable alarm limits for systems where the air pressure changed a lot.

Lots of reflections and a bit of dust from the recent 5000 miles, but here is what mine looks like now. Green needle is slide air, red is coach aux air. We've been here a bit over a day, and the 12v pump has not come on yet. Zeros on the electronic gauges of course mean nothing.

I was able to swap from the dummy gauge, so my aux air gauge now has a gold bezel:

That looks very nice. I'm going to copy it.
