Guy's,

I have a couple of questions:

Did any of your guys install a secondary pump to supplement the stock pump for the hydronic system ?

I am thinking of using the Webasto controller 2.0, c/w diagnostics if I buy the extra harness. Anyone using that controller ?

Thanks, Dale

Hi Dale,
Mine was not a factory install.
My thermotop C install used the stock coolant pump, alone. But I also added some check valves to make sure the coolant flowed the properly direction. It wants to follow path of least resistance. Thermo Top coolant pump was very low draw and efficient.

I used a timer relay for the controller. My primary use was heating the hot water tank. It would run an hour each time I wanted hot water in the tank.

Cheers,

Doug

Randy/Admins,

I made a mistake when I typed the thread listing "Webasto DBW 2019 Installation in my 1987, PT 38’."

It should read "Webasto DBW 2010" I tried to fix it buy had no luck. If it can be fixed maybe it would be easier for someone to find in the future ?

Thanks, Dale

Yes, I did install a second pump. Same exact pump as came stock with the Webasto. The unit on the Webasto is pushing, and the secondary is pulling.

Works fantastic.

Dale, I installed push and pull pumps next to the 2010 to help with the circulation. I have a separate pump for the engine preheat circuit. The pumps are the magnetic drive types.

Did you have an issue that you solved with those pumps or did you just add them for good measure? Three pumps seems excessive?

Dale - I have not installed one - yet. It will probably happen this year. It would have been really nice to have it this past winter even if it never left the driveway.
