Default LXI headlight doors/covers,repops.

I am having a mold made to make the headlight covers for the LXI's.
They will be made of fiberglass, not lexan like the factory covers.
The glass ones can be painted body color or black or whatever you like.

They will not have the holes for the lights in them, leaving them blank allows them to be a little cheaper, and allows you to cut the holes round or square,or to add custom head lights.

You can also cut the holes for the parking lights and turn light,so you can use LED's or something that suits you.

A wild guess on pricing for each cover will be around $200 each.

I expect to have a few covers as early as next week.
Pics will be posted as son as i get them.

Today is 2-22-14.

Will be interested in seeing what you come up with as I have been wanting to address our headlights for some time. Between the lex an and the ****** bulbs, some nights they are just way too hard to drive with.

the covers we are making will look just like the covers on your coach, except fiberglass and an off white gel coat coating.

You will have to cut holes for lights, and paint to your specs.
I used a cover off my coach to make the mold.

The headlight doors/covers are 2 piece as factory on your coach.
We will not be making the inner part,as it is a surround for the headlights and its not visible when the covers installed.

My plan is the glue the new cover in place along the top and sides (just like BB did) and i will add a few small screws under the bottom, where they will not be seen.

I plan on painting mine body color.

The pic below is the 2001 that i changed the lights in,and i made those covers out of alum.
The new covers painted body color will look like this, but the turn lights and headlights will be your choice.

Red face

Randy, I notice we're missing opposite pieces of stainless.

You have the bottom, I have the top with the "Wanderlodge Ultimate Luxury" casting. It was loose, because they bonded it to paint, but enough Sekaflex on a hot day did the trick.

Would love a tracing of the bottom piece if anyone has time as it would be easier for me to make a new one from a tracing.
