John, I'm not sure they are still selling just the rubber surface to replace the one glued to the plastic flapper; I have seen the complete new flapper, but installing one essentially requires uninstalling the toilet. If I could find just the rubber surface, how hard is it to remove the existing one and how do you apply the new one with a particular kind of adhesive? Thanks, Dennis

Dennis, you can get the flapper gasket from Mullaney and Associates on the internet. The adhesive is on the gasket. Pull and peel off the old one and then clean all the old adhesive off the flapper. Peel the backing off new gasket and apply. The some silicon grease.
First you flush toilet and then stop the flapper, with the rocker switch at the back of the tank, a few inches in on it's travel. Glove up and get your hand inside that the inch whole and get it done. Best done after a fresh dump and flush

Default LF-210 Leaks Water & Air

Microphor LF-210 Air Toilet. Air bubbles up past the flapper gasket when the bowl has water in it. Also water leaks past the toilet flapper gasket, draining the bowl. Time for a new flapper gasket.

I have a new gasket. And I removed the old gasket. What products have you used to clean the flapper gasket surface?

TIA

There are some posts in other forums that say to use CLR, Lime-A-Way or just plain vinegar -- build-up usually turns out to be calcium left when water in the bowl evaporates. They caution that it may take several applications to get rid of it all, but that seal surface should feel smooth when you're done. Hearsay advice -- have not had the need to do this myself.

The flapper seal surface cleaning is looking pretty good. Some of the residual glue remains, not budging. Did you guys doing this job get the flapper seal perfectly clean, no residual glue remaining? Keep working? Or call it good enough? I was thinking a soft scrub paste and (see below) would help the scrubber remove more glue, maybe?

Wife bought home a https://www.target.com/p/rubbermaid-...r/-/A-15107705 tooth brush and it was used to get most of the crud off of the flapper gasket area.

So far...I have not put a hand in the opening.

The last time I put in a new seal I had no luck with doing it while the toilet was installed. I ended up removing it, putting it on my workbench, where I could actually take things apart, get my hands on things and see what I was doing. At that point it finally sealed. When these Microphor toilets work properly, they are fine, but when they don't, well they are a PIA.

Oh Curt, don't forget what you used that "toothbrush" for.

we had Tim at RV interiors and more in Pea Ridge remove our micropher and installed a dometic macerator stool. Best money ever spent. Only regret is I didn't do it sooner

My Micropher worked great most of the time. Then it went for weeks letting the water leak out. I was within a day of buying a new toilet when it started working again and it worked great for several months then it started leaking out again. I bought a new rubber gasket for the flapper, but when I tried to install it there was a risk that something might drop down into the black water take plus it is difficult to get hands in that space to work so I didn't install the new gasket. It started working again anyway. Finally since my wife's knees were giving her a problem and the Mircropher was so low I bought a new toilet that is residential height.

Flapper seal job done...toilet is still blowing bubbles, timing is out of sync, leaks water, parts are too expensive, etc. I believe the Microphor is going to go meet it's buddy from our previous coach...in the trash. Plan to replace it with a macerator.
