Default Power to the battery side of the ignition switch

Good morning. I am trying to trace the hot wire to the ignition from the battery. It does not go directly to the battery. I have traced the loom from the ignition switch to underneath the steering column then it disappears into a maze of wires. I am referring to the yellow wire that powers the switch and not the orange wire that comes down to power the bus bars. I guess it goes to the A/T switch? If so it is a different color when it gets there. And from there to the battery? Or is there another component?
Thanks

Personally,i would run a new wire, heavy gauge and with a circuit breaker or somethig to protect it and abandon the old wire.
quicker and better.
Be sure to record the change in your manual.

Well that's the trouble.various owners and mechanics have been doing that since 1981. I'm trying to clean things up but not everything is on a wiring diagram.

Its been recorded for years that the FCs had low voltage to the headlight switch and the ignition switch.

Small wires and canon plugs and too much of a load on all of that.
But,its your coach,your call.
On many FCs we ran a relay and got power right from the alternator to go to the fuel solenoid, taking that load off of the switch.
And relays on the headlights, taking the load of the headlight switch.

Thanks Randy. I took care of that years ago. I'm just trying to clean up the rats nest under the dash right now.
