Default HELP! Front door won't unlock from inside.

Our front entry door will unlock from the outside with key, but latch will not open from inside. I am able to manually release the horizon deadbolt. I Need help diagnosing my problem. Is it the handle mechanism? Could it be a bad fuse or solenoid? Has anyone got pointers for taking door apart to access the guts?

Default Door Lock

Dan, attached is a picture of the connection from the handle to the lock inside the door. The picture shows the adjustment for the handle but the plastic clip might have come loose, I do not have pictures of the door that shows the screws that hold on the panel but will take some and send them to you.

Default Front Door Lock

Dan just took some pictures of the panel attachment screws on our coach. The covers over the screws are still missing and the cover over the wires going into the door is off because I am still working on adding a screen door. On our coach I just remove all the screws and panel for access to the door handle connection shown in the prior post.

Lucas, your advice was SPOT ON!
So my inner door trim panel is a single piece. Had to remove inside window bezel to get it off. Problem is a broken plastic door rod lock clip. Parts store has a variety pack. On my way to pickup.

Thank you!

So I assume the variety pack had the correct size you needed?

Default Door lock rod fittings

Brad,
Yes, I bought the variety pack (2) and it had the exact part! Cheap spare to keep in inventory!
Warmest Regards,
Dan

Aren't there some springs that get weak or break and lock you in too?

I remember that I bought a box of springs, just in case I needed them for the door latch. Of course, those springs are in a safe spot with the 30 other things that need installation...

There sure is one on the M380 (don’t ask how I know)! Problem is that spring replacement needs to be proactive. Once you’re locked in, it’s a major job to get the door unlocked and open so you can access the broken spring. There are threads with photos of the spring that needs to be replaced.
