I found I only had 1 pressure switch under bathroom sink. It's stuck open, it was on a line that froze up. I imagine this froze too. Pump works good when I bypassed switch for testing. Gotta pick up a new one.
Thanks for all the help!!

That pump in post #4 should have a preassure switch on the left hand side of the pump body, on my pump it sticks out 3 inches.

Randy, the picture in post #9 that Lucas posted shows the same pressure switch I have (had!). It is the red one at the right side center of picture. It appears to be a 25 psi NC switch. I haven't found a direct replacement, am going to use a pressure switch for a household system, am able to set cut in as low as 15 psi, cutout at 30 psi.

I may have to replace the water pressure switch on my bird. It is the same as pictured on post # 4, attached is a pic of mine.
1- does anyone have a part number and a place to get it? The box stores just have 120V switches. I need 12V
2- Can it be put in any position. The one now is a bear to access.
3-What are the correct pressures?
4- Post #5 mentions eliminating the switch. Is that possible, how?
Thanks in advance.

Default Pump Pressure Switch

The switch pictured is no longer made. There is a replacement:

https://www.boatersland.com/itt37121...yABEgL3x_D_BwE

But this is the only source I could find. I have one like the one above in my old switch stock and could send it to you. E-Mail me if you are interested in the old switch. The switch is marked 40 PSI
It might be better to upgrade to a new diaphragm pump that has a build in pressure switch and probably will be quieter than your present pump.

Boatman, the pump switch at the box stores is what I put in. The gray box style switch used on well pumps. Voltage does not matter as it is just a pressure switch which opens contacts when pressure is met. You can adjust the pressures on these switches to whatever you need (within range of switch). I think I went with 15 PSI cut in, 30 PSI cut out.
Get the one without the low pressure cutoff on it (no lever on the side).

Thanks guys for the information. I understand the 12V issue now. I think whether I change the switch or the pump will depend on which is easier to do. I now have the info I need.
