Slow Starting/ clicking noise
I have a slow starting problem with my 99 lxi. When I turn the key my Engine battery gage goes to 0 and bounces around. Also I have a clicking Noise coming from the passenger side under dash Relay location. I replaced the Ignition switch and still the same problem. I load tested all 3 group 31 batteries that are only 6 months old and all tested fine. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Rick, I cleaned and tightened all 6 Battery lugs/terminals with no improvement. then tried holding down the AUX switch in the jump position and the same results with the addition of the windshield wipers turning on once.

Theres a big switch in the battery area,mounted to a bulkhead,its a marine type switch.
J had one of those go bad once,make sure the powers going through it.

After bypassing the large marine grade switch nothing changed. I did try the remote ignition switch in the back of the bus and it fired right up! Any ideas ?

Still hunting for my starting problem when I stumbled across these toasted battery wires going to the house battery marine switch. Melted all the way through the ruber...

they can also get pinched Daniel . Those cables run behind the battery trays , you need to be careful when they are pushed in.
