Easy to spot - Photos with emails

As someone who possesses a degree in computer science and security (among others), and being married to a police officer who processes these things continuously, it warms my heart to see a board like this on this forum!

Quick tip - it speaks to the "too good to be true" category on Craigslist, but it happens on FB, too.

A quick way to identify scams is first, the low price, but also, the use of an email address posted directly on the photo of the item itself. This circumnavigates the website's inherent security protocol and relies on flagging by the individual users, which takes time and knowledge.
Often these scams will run simultaneously across the country.

The short - never (or at least be extremely wary) purchase or pursue an item that has a photo asking you to respond to an email in the photo. Aside from being against the terms of service (which could get you banned), it is most definitely a scam, and one which offers you no protection through the site itself!

I second that motion Plus, most of the older FC's had wall phones, but they only called internally. Meaning, calling the driver to him/her to slow down, I'm on the commode

I just drove a nail into my kitchen wall and hung my cell phone to it. I prefered that form of communication and wish to go back to it. Now I have to figure out how to change my phone number from a 10 digit number back to my beloved 4 digit number. I'm even all for calling "Hello Sarah, get me Floyd's Barber shop" That is the life I would love to get back to.
