Foot Rest?

Gentelmen, while messing around the piolt's area of my new found love, I saw this black knob like thing mounted to the lower portion of the steering column and wandered (pun was intended) "what the heck is that for" After further investigation, I saw this black U shaped steel bar with a flat rubber piece on it. I then discovered that this bar moved all the way down from the up position and rested on that black knob I was astounded that I had accidentley found, what I believe to be a left leg/foot rest to be used while cruising down the highway Am I correct If so, this is just another thing that sets these amazing machines apart from the rest of the pack

The roof vent/grille and foot rest are two things my 83 don't have, and it's pretty well optioned....

That is cool. I'm running out to look at mine right now. I have the knob, never seen the foot rest.

Rich I dont heve the foot rest but right above that on the tilt wheel air cylinder theres a knob u can push up on to help the tilt wheel to lock in better.

Yep it is a great thing, just like the big safe under the dinnette booth, mine still had the factory unlock on it?

Gene, I don't have a knob that controls how tight the tilt is?

Look under the dash on the left side of the column. It's hidden pretty well but once you learn it's location it can then be easily found when the need arises later....
