Default Low Power

Took off for a 360 mile jaunt to Charlotte MI this morning and the bus topped out at 45 MPH and took a mile to reach that. Only thing I've done is put 94 gallons of fuel in the tank yesterday. Ugh.

Stopped at the school 5 miles from home to investigate and maybe change fuel filters, even though the were just recently changed. Lifted the engine hatch to see if there was anything obvious. When I touched the fuel lever linkage attached to the fuel solenoid, the engine started sputtering. When I pulled the linkage the other way, it smoothed out. Grabbed a zip-tie and fastened the fuel lever open and made the 360 mile trip without further issue.

BMC 37' owners need to carry zip-ties or baling wire and know how to use it.

Dave I gave the opposite issue. I have to disconnect the solenoid to **** it down. Always something.

I had that same problem on several occasions in the last 14 years. Once bad fuel solenoid. Twice bad lift pumps, once a leaking intake manifold. Could be several things
