How far did it have to be towed?
Did they pull the drive shaft? Doesn't look like a lot of clearance by the rear bumper. We have to have ours towed about 90 miles just after Labor Day and I was thinking about having it Low Boy'd. Sorry for the tow... ![]()

Yeah he pulled the ds. I followed him the whole way there was plenty of clearance. It did not tow that high.

Bob, If you put it on a trailer it will need to be a Landoll. Many Class 8 Recovery (Wrecker) Companies have them. Problem you may have is height clearance. I would start shopping now for what you will need after Labor Day. By the way, a properly equipped wrecker can move your coach just fine. Long Under Reach with Bus Forks is best.

FYI: That is good but sometimes I have heard they drop them down to low and damage the generator.

Yeah i read about that here. I watched real close. The tow guy used the extra long "y" pieces which raised it a good 15 inches from the tow arm.

I understand the Lowboy is lower than a Landoll. Is that right?
There is a company over in Eugune that has the right equipment as they tow a LOT of Monoco's around there. The plant is there. I am going to try to get my CoachNet to pay for it. Have had it 11 years and haven't used it so will see if they will pay for the 90 mile trip. Cost, according to the towing company to me would be $1,500. They tell me CoachNet won't pay their hourly rate of $250 and will only pay $125. Guess we'll see around the 2nd of Sept. ![]()

Rick is correct, a Landoll type trailer is the best option. FYI, typically the deck on a Landoll is right around 36" off the ground.
When the bird is on the deck, you can get away with an overall height of 14' (although 13'6" is max legal height), so as long as your bird is under 10' or 10'6" with the air bags dumped you should not have much trouble. We have transported several birds on our's and had no issues. As far as a RGN (removable goose neck) trailer goes you will not find one with a centre deck, or "well" long enough to accommodate a bird. These trailers typically are between 24' and 28' "in the well".
