Heck-mom is right.
They come in all shapes and colors!
Remote comtrolled,heated,chrome,painted etc.
I can save you some money on them, but you need to figure out just what you want.
Their website sucks, unless its been updated.

Thumbs up THANKS John/Randy

Man, Ramco's website is definitely lacking.
Will contact you, Randy, about specifics/etc. when I figure it out.
What kind of $ do they normally run?
Looking to get them chrome/electric movement/maybe heat. That all depends on $.

Randy I didn't know you had an "in" at Ramco. Fwiw I called them after my rendezvous with that limb. I just needed the small convex mirror...not the frame. I agree their website is primitive but their customer service is excellent. I didn't know exactly what I wanted and a CSR named David (I think) offered to help. We identified the needed part over the phone.

Jeff If you are the only driver you probably don't need the electric adjustments but the heated feature is almost a must have in my opinion. They will fog up and you just can't drive if you can't see in the mirrors.

I believe there are some threads about these mirrors and the models used on the PT buses.

Shane probably knows exactly what you need. As we all know Shane's got a computer for a brain and can remember all the details we normal people forget. Chrome ones are nice.

What's on your bus now? I think they all had Ramco's from the factory? They can be repaired as well. CowDoc sent his back and had them repaired at one point. They needed the electric adjustments working because they both drive and are separated by considerable distance in height.

I personally think you need the electric even if you are the only driver. The reason I say that is, when backing especially, I will adjust the main mirrors down to look for obstacles and the the top mirror up to look for limbs. So, in my opinion, if you back it up yourself a lot the electric controlled mirrors are a must. Even if you have help backing, it is nice to be able to see everything.

I agree with Jim.

Heck-mom,i don't think Ramcos were used until 1991,the other mirrors like yours were an offshore brand.

Stick, the owner of Ramco was a good friend of mine, hes passed away now but his daughter runs the company, and shes one smart girl/women.
Shes also a good friend of ours.

I went with Velvac units because I found them cheap on eBay. The heads are plastic if that's an issue. They are also discounted at truck parts stores such as finditparts.com. I can give you more info if you're interested.

I remember Shane put new chrome Ramcos on his coach so he would have info on that.

You definitely want electric adjustable ones just like Jim said.
