Jeff- It's very tough to find a mirror with the correct radius for the sides of our coaches. I bought new Aluminum Ramco mirrors 10 years ago for around $700 ea. They were even engraved with the BB logo. Since then, I've spent ten times that amount on cable bills and other worthless ****, but those Ramco's are still the best and look as good as the day I bought them. I have the ones with a large lower mirror (heated) and the upper convex mirror to see who is along side of the coach. Coupled with a good backup camera, no more blind spots!

Thumbs up Thanks All!!!!!!

Great info & am working on it.
I definitely thank ever ones suggestions!!!!!
It seems that CHROME FOR SURE, then heat & electric is for me a good thing. Convex mirror top & bottom would be nice, however that may cut down the size of the main mirror, which would be bad. If that is true then I'll go with Shane and get convex on top.

Since I am often driving alone, to be able to move the mirrors, is a very desirable thing.

I often change my sitting arrangement due to a ole mans back (aka Vietnam). Just got 2 shots of cortisone in it and it didn't help. Oh well

Randy--If it's ok--I'll give you a call & discuss it further when I get my ducks in a row.

From what I can tell about the 80's Birds (from other threads) mine aren't Ramco's.
So this would be a nice upgrade.

As always, many thanks for the input from all!!!!

Jeff,

Here is what my Ramco mirrors look like, the convex top mirror is an additional mirror on top of the regular housing.

As far as mounting I used two of the original mounting holes from the old mirrors and then drilled two new holes for the Ramco's they work great, I have the main mirror and the upper and lower add on convex mirrors, that really help me to see the trailer when turning and cars that are along side of me in what used to be a blind spot.

the mount castings are not a perfect fit,but they are close.
There may be a small gap between the ends of the curved mount.
Just fill with dum-dum or your choice of caulk.
you will never see it once the gap is filled.

Jeff, can me after noon on any day, early mornings are busy, thanks!

There was this lawyer who figured he could take it with him so he put it in the attic figuring he'd grab it on the way up. Problem was he went the other way ...

Randy, if you are still working on the mirror order, how much is a chrome, heated set for my SP36? My left one has a lot of rust bubbles. It might be easier to replace than repair.
