I don't know about up your way. The well water (swamp water) down here smells of sulfur to the high heavens. They say its good for you :-) Turns everything it lands on yellow. I know locals who don't treat it and live on it. Gives you a rash you shower in it for a while. Then you got to use special soap. I feel fortunate to be in an older (1969) development that is on the water main. I just drink what the government says to lol.

That fuel pump looked like it had barnacles on it.

The Facet fuel pump should only run when the engine has oil pressure. There is a switch that powers it when the engine is running only. Perhaps this pressure switch is malfunctioning. Switch is located on an oil manifold under the driver with a short hose connecting to the oil cooler.

By the looks of everything in that photo, I would be replacing a lot. Fuel pump, leveling valve, air bag all look to be on borrowed time. No one wants to have a break down on the road!

This for the Cat as Rick says, I had this one go bad on me trying to get up a mountain in Shenandoah Park, it is used to pump the fuel through to the Racor so the Cat I P will be able to get it to the injectors...
When mine went bad, I got on the forum and Bill Pape sent me the info of the pump, so the shop I was towed too could change it, they could not find one at their parts houses...
After it was replaced the Cat fired right up, paid bill and left...
