Default Site Time Setting

Just wondering why the time showing at the bottom of the page states that it is GMT -7 and is now showing that it's 8:something AM?

My time show GMT-7 with the correct time shown next to it.

Greenwich Mean Time is (essentially) the time in London U.K. I'm located in the Pacific Time Zone, and that's 7 hours earlier (8 when daylight time is not in effect).

You may need to set your system clock and "tell" your computer what time zone you're located in. (Boulder City, NV is in the Pacific Time Zone, if I'm not mistaken.) If you have a Mac, you can do this with the "date and time" control panel. I'm sure a Windows computer has a similar utility.

Hi Lance & Pete,

I noticed a few days ago that the time was wrong if I was looking at the site as a Guest but correct if I was logged on as a User so I sent the webmaster a message to call it to his attention. He may not have seen my message but he must have seen Lance's post because the problem was fixed soon after he posted.

Now if I'm viewing as a User or as a Guest the pages say "All times are GMT -4" at the bottom of the page and the post times on the messages are correct (at least based on my time here which is GMT-4).

Up until now I thought that everyone saw the post times based on GMT-4 because the Wanderlodge Group Server was in that time zone.

For kicks, I change my computer clock to Pete's time zone, shut down, re-booted and logged back on with my computer time showing GMT -7 and my Wanderlodge Group pages still say "All times are GMT -4" at the bottom of the page.

Pete do your pages always say "All times are GMT -7" at the bottom of the page? If so it seems to be based on something other than the computer clock or the Wanderlodge Group Server time.

It looks like the local GMT time displayed on each users computer is based on a time zone selection in our User Control Panel. I think you can change your local time zone if you go to User CP - Date and Time Options.

Looks like the problem is that the clock "freezes" when a backup is in progress.
