Default Ignition Switch

I need a schematic for the wiring of the ignition switch for an 84 FC
I have checked with some of the sites referenced in some of the forums and can not find information on the Body # 63766. Also, I am in need of a supplier of the plastic bezel that holds the switch in the LH side shifter area.

Mike,
It is probably the same as my '83. I will not be near the coach till Sunday so I expect you will have your answer before then. Anyway, I have 4 wires, 12 volt supply, accessory, run(ignition) and starter.

On mine the ignition lead (Orange), (which supplies two breakers on the breaker panel behind the front breaker panel and then to a can type relay that supplies the rest of the circuits) was overheated and the insulation was burned back an inch or two. I inserted a bosch relay into the line so the only load on the switch is the relay. Several things previously flakey started working much better like the cruise control, the retarder, the fuel guage, etc.

Gardner has a good idea; off load some of the current going through the ignition switch. After a drive, Pull the Key out, if it is Warm, this is not a good thing.
Most any four position truck switch will work . Our 88 fc uses a Pollak switch , I think your 84 is different. The screw on terminals are better than the Butt connectors for the Ignition switch.
