Default email statement

I am still thinking I have a problem with getting the posts via email

1.Don't seem to get the initial post on any thread
2.Have no clue who the sender is when I do get a post

I am beginning to think that the email method of recieving posts is not a function you are going to support.

I can't answer for the moderators -- but I find it's just a lot easier to turn off _all_ the emails from this group in the Control Panel (for each member). I then visit the web page a couple of times a day, when convenient. Click "new posts" and you can see what's come up lately. Then, in each thread listed, you can click the little blueish box with the > in it to see the last posting. Scrolling back up the thread will quickly get you to the post(s) you might not have seen yet.

I admit, however, that this process works best on a faster connection, so dial up users may not appreciate it so much.

Fred,

I would gladly turn the email issue over to you, or anybody that can get it to work better than it is now. It isn't a problem for the majority of the members that want to get email delivery, plus there are three different email delivery options, Instant, Daily and Weekly. If we could find the problem on this end ...if there indeed is a problem on this end, it would have been fixed by now, but we cannot find a problem, that leaves one other link in the email delivery system and that would be the Internet Service Provider, of which we have literally no control over.

Believe me ,if I could get the #*%#! fixed I would, because I hate having to say the same thing over and over again. We are supporting the email delivery on this end and that is all that we can do. The only other option is to come to the forums Internet site and read the forum messages there.

As for not having a clue as to who posted the emailed messages that you have been getting, well that is not an option that this forums software offers, so it is the same for everybody.

I really hope that you understand.
