Sorry, we have been off for a while. I contacted Griffith Rubber Mills in Portland about 2 years ago. I asked about replacing a seal. They told me at that time it would be $8000 Minimum 10 seals + shipping and possibly tax, to me and then forwarded to each buyer. At about $800 plus shipping to you from me. For Front Slide. I did not price rear slide seal. Since it is smaller, I would think it would be cheaper, but I do not know. As far as putting them in, it is not that big a job. It is a 2 man job for novice, all day in the dry. There are no clips/retainers, you just need a roll of 3M VHB double sticky tape. Good scrapers for removing old sticky tape plus cleaner for glue. Be sure there are no sharp edges to be found.
There are a few M380s out there that the F3/F4 button will retract slide. The rest of us have to remove arms to retract slide. The wife and I have done this. We have replaced and repaired our seals (front and rear). There is no reason why we can't all get together and help each other. All we need is a good place to do it.

If they ship from Portland there should be no tax, but if they ship from Indiana there would be. If there is a choice the more than $500 IN tax would likely pay for any shipping cost difference.

I haven’t owned this bus for all that long, and it’s my first rv. Between the the tires, brakes, batteries, a/c units, and now seals, I’m never going to get to retire. I’ve figured out the little compressors aren’t working also. But I guess I can’t take it with me, so put me down for a front and rear seal.

Default Slide Seal

Since my last posting, I have been in touch with Jim at Griffith Rubber Mills about manufacturing of M380 Front and Rear Seals. If we purchase 10 Front seals the price will be $1055.00 per seal. 15 seals will be $1010.00 per seal.
5 rear seals would be 1170.00 per seal. 10 rear seals will be $1015.00 including shipping to me. $Rear seal price could be adjusted if more rear slide coach owners show interest in participating.
Since I live full time in my Bird, moving around the country, I have no permanent shipping address. Dan Hunt has been gracious enough to help in this project. Which includes allowing us to ship these seals to his address. And then forwarding the seals to each individual owners address. SHIPPING FEES are NOT INCLUDED IN THIS QUOTE of the seal prices listed above from Dan Hunt to you.

To be continued.....

Default M380 seals

At this point we need the number of seals, front and rear, to be ordered.
Phone Number and Address to ship to.
E Mail it to - alldone2005@aol.com

When the time comes I will send phone numbers and addresses to Dan Hunt.
He will contact you with price of shipping to you or you can tell him that you will pick up package from Venice FL.

There is a one year warranty on manufacturing defects. This does NOT cover accidental tear or punctures while installing. Jim assured me that there is about 10 plus year shelf life. You must keep the product out of the sun and in a cool spot. They recommend warming up seal before installing to make more pliable. Please note lead time will be about 10 WEEKS from when we place order. Griffith Rubber Mills requires payment in full before tooling up their equipment. If you have knowledge of M380 owners, not on WOG forum, please contact them and forward this information. We hope to have everyone interested in these seals involved.
I (Doc) would like phone numbers and addresses Emailed to me by January 13th. At that time I will contact you about where to send check so we can get these seals ordered. Just to let you know, Shawn Kravitsky got a quote for a front seal of $3000,plus. Not including installation.

Updating as per Van's idea for a running total, quote this as a reply when you register interest ... or fill in a blank ... currently 7 fronts and 3 rears ... come on folks!

Chip, I appreciate your interest in this project.
BUT I need each owner to contact ME personally at my email address. alldone2005@aol.com

With their phone number and address and number of seals they want.
This will allow me to get in contact with them as and when needed.

Did not see your post, we were writing at the same time it seems - I was wondering what was going on!

You can rely upon me for one of each
Best

Done.

I’m with Chip - if you plan on keeping your coach long term, this is a no brainer. The seals on all of our coaches are well beyond their projected lifespans. So it’s not IF, it’s WHEN will you need new ones. In that case, having replacement(s) on hand = priceless. Right now mine are doing fine so I plan to store them as recommended until needed. If I never need to replace them, do you think the next owner would be willing to add $2K for the peace-of-mind new seals will provide?

Send that email to Doc today!
