Attend a rally, see a variety of BB's, you may change your mind.
Ask for help if you find something special, a WOG member may live near-by.
After careful consideration , don't be afraid of a trip or to walkrun away.
It's called tuition and we learn a lot from those Birds in disrepair.
Thanks for that info. I was hoping to have someone I could have give it a once-over before I flew out to look myself, and I hate asking favors of the great people around here when I'm not even sure exactly what I want.

I'm definitely staying on top of what I'm seeing on BBBB - I'm just trying to widen my search a little since I'm not really sure what's going to work best.

There's a 2000 LX40 on there that's really nice, but I'm not sure I can handle the black/silver color scheme.

Also, there are 3 WB40's - 91, 92, and 93 - that look nice, but there are a couple of things I'm not really sure about - the 8v92's, for example.

Maybe I should just call Randy....
Randy has a good selection; there's several on his site I would be happy with. He's a straight shooter and he also knows a thing or two about coaches.

Billy, the lx 40 in boardman, ohio belongs to a good friend of mine. It is a really nice, well taken care of coach. The gentleman that did most of the mechanicals on it used to own an 85 named “Good Grief” ,now owned by Len Mcleod. He can verify the quality of work that Tony does. I would be happy to take a look and out of the ordinary pics if you find that coach to your liking.

Bill,

My wife and I went down to Quartzite a couple weeks ago, which is why I'm leaning towards a mid-to-late-90's WB or LX(i). We upped our budget to accommodate the newer models.

Thanks!

That one's on my "watch list". I'm going through all the coaches I can find right now and making a page for each with pluses and minuses to help me figure out what I want.

Billy, Rob R's LXi would be my pick, that or the 2 slide in FL, both on Randy's site. It depends on what you're looking for out of a bus.

Sedona is nice this time of year if you want to come take a look...

I think right at this moment, that's the top one on my list. I really like all the interior storage, among other things.

QQ: do you know what engine controller it has? My research seems to say stay away from D-DEC 1 unless you want to work on it yourself, or are sure you know someone who's an expert on it. And since I'm not planning on doing any of the wrenching on the drive train, I'd have to have someone I could trust with it.

Also - what in the world is that wood block in front of the toilet??
Thanks,
BV.

Its a DDEC 2. Latest software too! 151 is the latest. I had it upgraded when the inframe was done...

That wood is to keep the door from hitting the toilet. There is a full mirror on that door, dont want to crack it ;}

Thanks, Joe

Billy - I’ve been in Alligator and it’s nicer inside than the pics show. Joe’s an electronics wizard who IS one of those experts you mention. He & Pat have been a great assets for the WOG and I can personally vouch for Pats cooking . Many people are sad to see them sell.

I suspect that Joe meant to say he has software version (154) which is the final software version for DDEC II.
