Default Resting at whispering hills Georgetown KY.

It's our first long trip in the bird. Kids are crashed out in the back and I'm sampling some of the local spirits with my dad. It's about 65 out and we got the windows down.

Final destination is brevard NC tomorrow.

Life is good.

Yep always good when the bus is parked for the night. Time to relax and appreciate the moment.

Congrats.

Rolled into Brevard NC today. Felt good to reach our destination. Kids are sleeping and Nichole and I are ready to turn in.

Bus ran well today but the mysterious starter click reappeared. Had to jump the solenoid and she started right up. A bit discouraging but we can deal with it.

You are very close to where I grew up. The Copperhead Loop and other great motorcycle routes are nearby, as well as the Biltmore House.

Enjoy the Smoky Mountains in springtime!!

Back in Kentucky. The bus is running great. Getting 8-10 mpg and it seems like the motor tightened up. Burning far less oil. Love this thing :-)

Glad you are having a good trip.

On the oil consumption thing...on many engines filling the crankcase all the way to the 'full' mark on the dipstick results blowing some oil overboard.

Try keeping the oil level in between the 'full' and 'add' marks and you may find the 'sweet spot' for your CAT and may consume less oil.
