Default Bird Spotted

Followed a blue and tan PT-36 up TN 231-431 into Fayeteville today. I was hoping to catch them at a light but there aren't many of them in town!
Alabama plates towing a Buick on a dolly. Surly someone knows this coach it has a lighthouse painted on the back end

Well we are not the only bird owners in the park this week. We have a converted Shuttle bus about 7 spaces down from us here at Willow Beach. It's painted black with silver horse shoes painted on it. Will be going down for a visit as soon as the weather clears. (Thunder storms again) They were towed into the park, with engine problems. (White smoke and then shut down and won't re start.) Sounds like injector problems. When I get a little more information, I will probably be getting back here for advise.

White smoke quite often means water. Cummins 5.9 i had started dumping white smoke once on start up. I shut it off, and tried to restart. Would not turn over. Head was cracked, and filled cylinder with coolant, so it could not turn over. New head needed. And block, as the cylinder was shot.

Thank god for chrysler, had a 100,000 mile warranty, with 103,000 on the motor. They covered all but $50 deductible!

Lets use our noses on this one. If the smoke smells of diesel its an injector or fuel issue. If it smells of antifreeze it may be head, head gasket or block.

He got it re started once, and when coming off the freeway again it died at the bottom of the ramp and would not restart. Tail pipe did not smell of anti freeze, and radiator is full. And yes it is a 5.9 Cummins.

Lee, Can the owner recall if it sounded like a gas engine with too much timing? Clattering noise when trying to accelerate? I blew the tip off an injector long ago. It was dumping raw fuel in the cylinder and it clattered like crazy with lots of white smoke which was un burned fuel.

Will have to check with him tomorrow on that, he's in bed about now, as their coach is dark at this time. The reason I suspected an injector was on account of one of our armored trucks years ago had a bad injector and smoked white.
