Default Christmas Festival, St Charles, MO

Just read an article on the the Christmas Festival in St Charles MO, looks pretty nice. Has anyone been there? Thinking of taking the Bird down next weekend. Is it worth the 7 hour drive? Looking for an excuse to drive her again

Hi, St Charles is a quaint little place and (if the weather permits) a great place to visit. They really go all out for the holidays. Sundermeier RV park is a good rv park (little pricey but convenient and good power) Right on the Katy trail State Park, so if you have bikes you can ride about 1/2 mile to the middle of St Charles downtown. Also, right on the Missouri river is the Lewis and Clark museum, which also is on the bike trail. There was even a trolley that came to the rv park.

Hi Molly and Gary

Larry and I live here in the St Louis/St Charles area. I was just down on Main in St Charles last weekend. It's a fun seasonable event to attend. Lots of good places to eat, plenty of shopping, a parade, caroling strollers in costume and character. A fun thing to do for sure.

If you're in Muscoda .. come down thru Cedar Rapids, Hwy 61 to I-70 to I-370 to Sundemeir RV. Shouldn't take 7 hours. We always took that route going to Monroe, WI.

An alternative campground is 370 Lakeside RV Campground. Both campgrounds are pricey but there's no other alternatives.

Let us know what you decide ...

Ann & Larry

Thanks for the replies.

Doc & Linda good to hear from you, hope all is well.

Larry & Ann, we figure on being in the area Saturday morning weather permitting. Molly has to be in Madison on Friday, so we will take off late Friday or early Saturday. Thanks for the tip on 370 Lakeside Park; it is $12 cheaper so we will be staying there. Will keep you posted.
