I have asked about the same item. Consensus opinion is that it is part of security system, glass breakage detector.

It is the temp sensor for the bus dining/galley area for your Sentrek New Dimensions SND 350 Compass and Air Temp System. That flap thing is very fragile. Protect it as there are no more.

You also may find one screwed into the fiberglass behind the passenger side headlights.

Chris, in my coach and if you look in yours hard enough, you will see a couple of microphones. I have one up front on the dash and another above the closet doors, in the bedroom, in the very back. There may be another one I am not aware of but I imagine those may be the only two required. Those control the security system, which is located in the CB cabinet, up near the top. I have to get on my hands and knees to see it.

Matthew, No, I believe the correct terminology for those is a Thermister or something like that. Those are used for the interior heating system.

OK bird people. Think about it why would the same thing on the inside as well as on the outside. Under cabinet and under front bumper. Thermostat makes sense, but could it have something to do with leveling system? I ask this because of the direction that these are orientated.

The same thing on the inside and the outside is because it gives you a temp reading for the inside and the outside. Can't get much simpler than that. At least mine does.

The leveling system is controlled by a sensor in the ceiling of the storage bay.
