Default Penasco in Feburary!

Kathie and I have loved going to Puerto Penasco the last 2 years. We appreciate all Rick and Rosie , Rod and Diane did to organize it. We don't want to impact the Las Vegas Rally in anyway so we are planning to go down to Puerto Penasco on Feb. 5th. We would like to stay 10 days rather than a week but that is flexible. If others are interested in going we will get the phone numbers and places to call to make it happen. All the info from the last 2 years are still on WOG so it will be easy to do. We plan on going down like last year by gathering in Ajo on the 4th. In the morning and caravan down. We plan on staying at "Wrecked at the Reef" but La Playa Bonita is an option if prefered.
More to follow if there is interest. Doing the reservations will be up to those going down. This is a great way to get a little or a lot of paint work done on your coach ( pays for the trip!) or getting dental work done. I plan on that this year. It too will pay for the trip in savings.

John
We would love to go again this year but we are committed to the love rally. It is a week early this year and Q is late plus the LV rally. So we will have to wait until next year.
Put us on your list for 2019.

John,
Mary and I are very interested! We've yet to go there, but our Son and his Wife have been going there frequently and love it! Please keep us posted about dates & details. Hope to see you @ Q!

John,
Also very interested in going! Planning to be a Q this year. 10 days sounds like a good amount of time.

One thing we learned last year was if you get Mexican Insurance at Ajo in advance of the trip down you can only get liability insurance because of the age of our coaches. That may be fine for most but we wanted collision and comprehensive both so we went to Portugal Insurance in Puerto Penaso and gor reasonable coverage for both our toad and coach.
You can contact them on line in advance to arrainge it or get ,liability until you get there.

We made a reservation at Shadow Ridge RV Park in Ajo for the night of Feb 4th. Their # is
520--387-5065. They said they are filling up so you might want to give them a call soon.
As for "Wrecked at the Reef", we are booking a beach front regular A10 to A15. We are not sure which one yet. There is no phone number to call so we did it on line. GUS is the guy at Wrecked at the Reef.He can help with paint repair to site booking.

Hey John, I'll be down there with a couple of friends about the same time. Wrecked at the Reef on 30 Jan for two weeks. I'll see you at the Q too.
Time for you to get out of there before the snow comes. )

Agreed John! Now it is hurry up and wait...
For those planning to go down, remember you need passports. You can't take ANY firearms or ammo across the border. There have been people who missed a 22 shell in a drawer that have been in hot water. You can rent a locker in Ajo to secure things until you are back in the states. You can also get liability insurance in Ajo for your coach and toad. Most people just insure the coach for the in and out trips.
