Wish I would have had a chance to meet him, but surely appreciate the WOG legacy that he left behind. To those that knew him personally,my condolences.

Geraldine and I will miss Johns visits at our winter home in Florida. He had a friend in our community that kept his mail for him. Rest in peace my friend.

Thumbs up A Friend to the End

So sorry to hear about John, indeed he was a friend and I will remember him as such. I will say John was a crusty and sometimes cranky old soul, but I have been told by John that I was equally crusty and likewise cranky. I think John had misjudged me

Like a lot of WOG members, Tami and I new of John from the forum. But a few years back at Q he pulled in next to us and camped for a few days. It was like the JEDI MASTER had arrived. We greatly enjoyed John's company! A huge loss for all. John will be greatly missed!

Dear Mr. Finn was one of the foundation blocks of my Wanderlodge experience over the years. His many posts here and his Finn's Inn blog helped me in many ways. I met him at Maxton and got to enjoy petting Buddy and seeing him race his VW rabbit.

A big loss to our community. I think at sundown I'll check my musical horns play list and see if taps is on it.

RIP John.

I am saddened upon hearing this news. Mr. Finn was an invaluable and integral part of THIS community. I never had the pleasure of meeting him, but offer my sincere condolences to all who did. Present and future WOG members will benefit from of his knowledge that will remain as a standard by which to be measured. God's speed.
