Ohh,i have cleaned up a few rads on SPs and i have founf dead birds, red shop rags, fan belts and all kinds of other treasures in the rad.
I guess stuff gets sucked up off the road and ends up in the rad.
Plus the road draft tube from the engine blows oily vapors out and into the rad, oily vapors and dirt result in a plugged up rad.

I believe I still have Woody's old SP radiator if anyone needs one ($200 plus shipping) that's what I gave Woody. I don't know if it's worth messing with verses a new one.

I haven't seen it in 10 years, it was in a corner in the shop the last time I saw it. It has the tanks, but no frame. I'm travelling right now, I'll get my grandson to take some pictures next week when they open if you can use it without the frame. It came out of Woody's coach when he converted to a Cummins. Randy may remember if its any good or not. I do think it's rebuildable.

The tanks should have a frame that is braised/ welded to the upper and lower tank that bolts to the swing frame.

I can/could build the swing frame.

Thank you

No,not any any SPs i ever worked on.
The swing frame bolted on to all of them.
I have owned 3,no 4,personally,and they all had a bolt on swing frame.
And i have worked on many more.

I believe there are two side rails approx 30" in length 4 " width that are braised/welded to the tanks This adds support/ strength to the radiator tank and core. There are approximately 8 or 10 bolts that attach assembly to the frame. Frame uses two bolts for the hinges and two bolts to attach to CAC once closed

Lost a finger nail and $2,300
