Default Sun Valley, Idaho

good morning all:

Martha, J. B. Dogg and I are thinking about going to a conference this summer in Sun Valley, Idaho. Anybody have any experience in RV Parks in that vicinity?

Not a lot of options in that area.

Maybe Kevin Sarich will chime in or send him a PM (K Sarich). He lives in that area and may know of a good park.

National Park at Craters of the Moon is surreal! It would be a bit of a ride from Sun Valley- (75 miles or so) but make sure you visit. They have a few sites that can accommodate a 40 footer and don't normally fill up.

Hi Tommy,

If you need hookups the rv park a couple miles below Ketchum is your only option nearby. It's a decent park, sights are back to back. And there is grass between sights. If you like to bike the whole area is connected by paths and Sun Valley is about 4 miles away.*
**If you don't need hookups the area north of Ketchum offers incredible opportunities. Some are in campgrounds, but we prefer finding our own space in the forest or on the river. *Spaces outside of the campgrounds are free with a stay limit of 14 days.*
**We'll be in the area all summer and plan on spending 3 days a week in our bird on the river.
**Glad to help out, just let me know what you need to know. *

Thanks, Kevin - I had a wild hair about a conference in Sun Valley, but have kinda cooled off. It would be nice to get a tax deduct by going to a professional conference (yes, I am retired now, but still keep my license current), but that's quite a distance from here. No telling what diesel will be by then.
