Default Hi, bird newbie here looking at a project bird

Hi,
Been lurking a little since Nov. or so. I found a Blue Bird Wanderlodge after answering a Craigslist ad for a "Gillig" bus conversion (I rode 70's-80's Gilligs/Crowns to school as a kid so I wanted one of these to convert to an RV)
Anyway what I thought was a Blue Bird conversion turns out was a Wanderlodge after researching it. It's been resting in a field for awhile and the owner is willing to sell it for scrap value pretty much. I'm a car mechanic by trade so working on it shouldn't be an issue.
Here's the issue though,
It's a rear engine model with a gas engine? The engine also looks GM not Ford so I'm a little confused. Was it converted?

Here's a picture of it. I swear I saw a GM cast into the water hose outlet or something. Dist. is in the back, Ford usually puts it in the front of the carb.

Anyone know anything I'm missing?

Thanks!

Also this bus has the side door in the middle of the driver's side of the body. It looks like a 67 from the pictures. DMV says it's titled as a 66 RV.

Sorry all I got was the engine. It's in such sad shape I didn't think I wanted it to be honest but it's grown on me in the last few months. I don't want to see it crushed for scrap. Someone loved it back in the day. It has some newer Accoa front wheels and a decent looking Honda genie. I'm thinking about looking at it a little more in detail again.
It did have some rusty spots on the outside skin, someone broke into the front door at some point and tried to steal the genie so it's all disconnected, etc.. Not a big deal but the interior looks like a crack house :/

I'd have to gut all the carpets, bed, cushions and stuff for sure.

If I remember correctly it has an allison transmission. Big square looking shifter. Can't really think of much more right now except over the front window it says "the OUTLAW" or something, ha ha and a bunch of indian/wolf pictures throughout the interior.

If I buy it I'm definitely leaving the name.

It looks like a 67 to me from photos online but it's a pusher with a gas engine so I'm wondering if it's one of these,

1969 - Produced 9 units that were a pusher type with a Ford gas engine, thirty-five feet in length. Very rare

Has the normal front pass. side door then a little pass the middle of the bus there is another door on the driver's side that looks stock. Has a couple steps inside the bus down to it.
As you walk down the middle of the bus I remember a table on the right, kitchen on the left and then the stairs on the right after the table, then bathroom and on the left past the kitchen was a propane fridge and maybe a sink I can't remember then in the back was a bed, I remember the bed had like steps to get into it. The whole thing was covered in cabinets with the RV locks on them.
Outside was a brown color, typical. Can't remember if it had dual axles in the back or single. Genie door on the pass. side rear kinda to the side of the engine. Radiator on the driver's side.
