Hi Bill,

If you could, can you take a couple of photos with the gennie out as well as in. Are there any schematics on the slide?

I'm still waiting to hear back from Glenn Rogers but I doubt that he will come up with anything.

Is a drive mechanism needed for the slide or do you think I could get away without one?

Of course that is if I attempt to convert it at all...

Hi Dan: Come to Maxton in October and we can study your Generator conversion. Maybe not do a full slide-out but just pivot downward on the back two bolts in the sub-frame?

Dan I would love to see the generator in your 1987 FC. Is it possible you can come to the Hershey Rally in October hosted by Shane Fedeli? Or could you come to my house in Vernon,NY?

I have access to some swivel fittings etc that may make it possible to fabricate a roll out generator platform for the 87 generators and would be willing to help you. We have a lot of talent in the small group we have put together. However at my house I have all of the equipment needed to do a job like this if its possible.

Hi Randy: Yes I know Warren Dean...saw him yesterday morning as I was leaving a machine shop. Warren is 83 or 84 years young...still kicking.

I like that building of his that uses military surplus aluminum aviation fuel tanks for the roof...instead of shingles.

After WWII Warren had an ocean-going vessel which he used to haul military surplus from the Islands in the pacific ocean.

He used to fly a Cessna 210 but now longer flys.

I've never done any business with him but I like his style.

Warren took some military half-tracks and turned them into dozers and cherry-pickers. Good source for heavy truck parts. No Blue Birds though.

I'll try and get some decent pics of our 12.5 Kohlar/Yanmar. I have the owner's/service manual, but I don't think it has any info on our installation.

The Yanmar/Kohlar is on the left side of the compartment and the cooling system is on the right (electric 240V blower over facedown radiator). The battery is also on the right side.

The 8K unit on Ebay is not like ours but could probably modified to work in its'
place.
