Default 2 Questions

This would be on a 83 SB 35 foot unit.
The 2 amber lights below each headlights , are they running lights only or are they also turn signal lights ?
There is a clear light on each side of the bus , they are mounted on the outside of the front battery box and on the passenger side mounted on the outside of the washer box below passenger. Are the clear lights for the turn signal? If not what are they for ??
Thnx Dave

Dave, on my '78 they were just running lights. BUT, I found them wired with dual contact sockets. They only used one of the connectors in the harness. I re-wired mine to be both running and blinker so now use both contacts.

The clear lights come on steady with the appropriate turn signal, they are supposed to light the way around a turn, but hardly noticeable in reality.

Thnx you.
Yup that is what we found that the 2 amber front lights had dual filiments but only running lights.
The side clear lights are come on with turn signals but seem to have a bad ground or wire connection. They get bright and them dim .
Thnx again . Dave

Default Cornering Lights

Dave:

Here is a drawing that I think is applicable for your coach. Its not a very good copy but should give you some place to start your troubleshooting.

Thnx Len i'll check it out.
Your up in my hometown area. I grew up in Burlington back in the 50s and early 60s. Then moved to Michigan.

Default 2 Questions

Dave:

In addition to what others have said on my previous 84, the orange lights were for both, running and turn signals.
The white light is for night time turning, the headlight switch had to be on and the turn signal on for it to operate. They actually operate with the turn signal and the light is kept on steady by a capacitor that is charged and discharged with the flasher unit.
If not familiar with a capacitor, it stores power and releases it, thus in your case, it might not be a bad ground or wire, but a bad capacitor.

Thnx for the info. Would you know where the capacitors are located??
Also found a blackbox Approx. 8x8 inches , located between the drivers side battery box and the front bumper. Can't hardly get to it but has some wires going to it. What would that box be ??

On my FC that is the cruise control. Does it have cables coming out and going to the dash & tranny?
