Let's talk TV Options
New TV's are light, Large, Smart and cheap$$ relatively speaking. I have been thinking how I will upgrade my salon TV. The original built in TV area is much smaller and square shaped than the current TV's available. I know I can remove the current TV and install a bracket to hang a new LCD TV on, but the new style TV will be much wider and hang below the bottom of the overhead cabinets.
So, I'm thinking I might splurge and get the larger 4k smart LED curved TV and just sit it on the dash when stationary and store it on the couch when moving. Thoughts and what have others done?

that may work Jerry, but where you going to store it while underway?
My dash is a little different from yours but we got a 32 flat screen in.

Jerry, I got lucky when I upgraded. I had a 32" Panasonic hd viera in our overhead, I was able to fit a vizio 43" smart tv from wallyworld in the exact same footprint.I even used the old mounting brackets with a little modification

I suspect your overhead is the same size as in my rig. A tv up to 43" would fit without hanging below the overhead. A 40" - 43" will cover one of the center doors (on my rig anyway).

The PO put a 40" Samsung Smart TV in the front of mine. What was he thinking??? That he was going to stream Netflix on a campground wifi???? I would like to see that.

We like the picture quality of the Sharp.
At home we have a 70" and in the Bird a 42" It does hang below, but does not cover the gauges when driving.

Another option although I do not know what your coach is like so it might not work.
I replaced exsiting plywood cover which I assume was where original tv was with a swinging door and installed two slides with a 40 " TV have access to all the cuppard and access behind by swinging out the door. It does have latches to keep in place while driving no pics of thos though.

We installed ours with a hinge at the top, and a gas shock support. Give easy access to the big space behind where the old TV was located.

If you store it on the couch make sure you strap it down. In the event of an accident it will become a 40 pound projectile flying inside the coach.
