I like the second option (all horizontal and two turn lights on top), but I'm a traditional kind of guy.

I think we, (my wife,) has decided it will be either picture 2 or 3 on this post. I prefer the 2 reverse, 5 brake/ running, and the 3 turn. The other option has 3 reverse lights. I have removed the chrome trim for layout. I have made a drill pattern that I can flip for the other side. I think in the long run any way they are installed will be okay. They are very bright, and with 5 brake lights I think it will be hard to miss..

That’s allot of light power and perhaps too many lumens? Have you considered fewer lights, single stacked on each side? With the $2+ million crowd it seems a single stack on each side with one fixture staggered in horizontally a bit on the bottom, is how their tails are arranged. IMO fewer individual fixtures arranged that way is classier. Two stacks on each side might be too many lights and look... like Vegas . We’ve all seen the overdone 18-wheeler trucks lit up like Christmas trees with way too many lights. Aesthetically, I wouldn’t want mine looking like those. Keep in mind that LED lights are really bright compared to the old incandescent fixtures so fewer are needed. I like the rear light configuration of the coach on the right (pic below). However with your separate fixtures stacked in a single vertical column on each side, it would look more like the middle picture. Perhaps 2 red, 1 amber and 1 clear, with some red eyebrows above?

Note the separate thin horizontal “brakes applied” red eyebrow lights on the bus pics below. Mine has one of these and it’s really effective and bright. However you set up the mains, eyebrow brake lights mounted up high are a good idea because they can be seen above most toads. If mounted in threes, one can also work on each side sequentially with the turn signals:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CZ6CQT7..._4WoJCb03BPEVC (sequential)
.

My thinking is you can't have enough lights.
If its too bright, don't follow me,pass me and carry on.

On the thin brake lights, going side to side,i put bigger ones on my bus,and they all have stop lights, running lights and turn lights.
My upper marker lights are turn lights on each side, and brake lights in the center 3,they all have running lights.

Light it up Pete, you can't have too many lights!

But,i have to say i can't make up my mind on which design i like,i think if the tail gate was painted and on the bus i could make up my mind.
