Default 89 SP36 for sale - $27,000

I bought this coach last august and have been fixing it up since then. I finally finished the interior and my wife and I took it up the mountain to Asheville, NC for a weekend music festival and had no problems except standing on the horn button for a few miles. I thought it was the high beams! I also left the security lights on from the bedroom switch unknowingly. Oops again. The only problem is that the wife isn't comfortable riding in that big a vehicle. She was stressed out the whole trip. So it looks like I'm gonna have to find something a little smaller.

I pretty much gutted the interior except for the kitchen and bathroom and reconfigured the bedroom so no one has to crawl over the other to get in and out of the bed. Replaced the water pump/belts, & top radiator hoses on the motor, and replaced the hot water heater. I also replaced the stereo system and speakers along with a new back up camera and monitor. I just added some additional pics of stuff that is wrong with the coach, rust, crack in side window, missing a lock on a cargo door. The new pics also have the hours on the motor and generator. The speedometer/odometer is not working. I can't say if the motor has ever been rebuilt or not along with the generator. They both start right up and run fine with no knocking or smoking.

Both driver side jacks need resealing as they leak, and the steps are not installed because they weren't working either. All of the batteries probably need replacing and the tires are probably 5 years old so will need replacing at some point as well. The front AC unit was leaking a little from condensation over the weekend. I'm not sure if it was that the coach was not quite level or what. The inverter has been replaced with a ProSine inverter at some point recently. I also built the couches in the coach. One of them pulls out to meet with the other one and the cushions can be spread across them for another bed if needed.

Hi Ron -

Great looking bus! Do you happen to have any photos of the bathroom?

8100 hours (320,000 miles) just an FYI, as the owner has not posted it here. Talked to the owner for a while. Seems like a nice rig, just a bit too many miles for me.

320000 is a perfect number of miles for a well cared for coach. They do not like sitting around.

Default mileage

Since the speedo doesn't work I really couldn't say how many miles are on the coach. It does have a lot of hours but the motor runs fine, doesn't knock or smoke and shows no sign of problems.

Miles are in line with the hours, and with that stated any coach will hit your wallet regardless of how high or lows the miles are. At least we know this coach has been used and not just sitting in storage, it's a diesel not your granny's Buick.

I bet the hours are wrong too.
Very few coachs have that many hours.

Default Price reduced $24,000

I replaced the engine batteries(NAPA) and drove the bus to Asheville(150 miles) and back for a weekend camping trip. Bus drove fine there and back going over the mountain. Then a couple weeks later we drove it to Bristol TN(350 miles) for a music festival. Again, the bus drove well going up and over the mountains and we had no problems. I'll be winterizing the bus in the next day or so.
