Default "BIRD" for sale at SOUTHWEST COACH, Ca.

Hi,

Knowing little about Bluebirds, I am helping a friend who is former Country Coach owner. She has found a Wanderlodge near where they live for sale.
Does anyone have any opinions/comments/do's and don'ts' I can pass on??

http://www.websitesplus.com/cgi-bin/...am?rlk=2538067

From what I have found from NADA, this coach is way over priced??? Is this a good assessment?

Thanks in advance

JIM

I'd offer 35k if the tires are less than 6 years old.

Considering I've seen 2 of them go in the $40K range somewhat recently, I'd say its nearly twice as much as it should be. I'd guess its worth something in the $35-40K range depending on condition (pictures don't tell a whole lot).

Randy, Mike and Joatha,

Thanks, I will pass this along.

I have another question? Our motorhome has a DD 8V-92 Silver with a HT 755 Allison. Would this 1988 Bird have the same DDEC II motor or a DDEC I. Reason for asking, would this coach have an engine brain that a DDEC reader could read gallons used, hours of operation since last read.erased, and codes like overheating.?

THANKS again.

Jim,

The price is definitely over priced. But if clean I would offer anywhere from 55K -50K. I might be biased and don't know how much prices have fallen lately. It appears to be a nice coach but find out another member who is willing to look it over for your friend.

Good Luck...

I'm not sure how much info is in the D-Deck on that year bird.
They didnt store much info back then.
The last time I took an 8v92 in for a scan the dealers new reader would read just basic stuff,this was a 93 model.

Thanks,
Our coach has a 1992 made 8V-92. It is a Silver Series 92 DDEC II. With a reader, we can see hours of operation since last reading, total gallons this trip between readings, average mile per hour.
Would this 1988 Wanderlodge have a DDEC 1 or DDEC 2. If it's DDEC2 ,we have access to the software for a Reader.

Thanks again.

Hi Jim,

Please add your permanent signature.

You need to add a permanent signature to your user profile, so that it will automatically be added at the end of all of your posts, this way we will know who we are replying to and what year and model of 'Bird or RV that you own, or if you are a Wannabe 'Bird owner, that way you help us, so that we can better help you.

This was one of the things that you were asked to do in the Wanderlodge Owners Group Rules and that you agreed to, when you became a member of this forum;

To find out how to add a permanent signature to your profile please read;

How To Post A New Topic Message Or A Reply To A Topic and Add Your Signature

Why do we want you to have a signature; Wanderlodge Owners Group > Frequently Asked Questions > User Related Issues What is the signature for?

So we are asking you again to please just add a signature in your profile with the requested information;

Your Name

Year & Model of 'Bird or WANNABE

Your Location

You can set your signature by choosing User CP at the upper left side of the forums page and then choose Edits Signature from the Settings & Options, then create your signature and if you want to you can add a signature photo, then scroll to the bottom and click on Preview Signature and if you are satisfied with the results, then scroll back down to the bottom and click on Save Signature.

Thanks,

Just check out Randy's website, there are quite a few coaches under that price listed there, some similar year/mileage/model to what that one is.
