Tell Us Where You're At As you travel around the country, why not take the time to tell our members where you have settled for the night, week, or month. There may be another member close by, that would like to meet you, so put that information right here.

Hi Rick
If you get through Anchorage make sure you look me up.
I'll give you a driving tour and even make sure you get to Randy's favorite burger joint.
I might even have a few SP questions for you.
Enjoy your drive. It's a world class road trip.

I'm using my I Pad and can't post pics. Don't know how. When we get someplace I can use my Lap Top I'll post some pictures.

The First Nation girl (16 to say 20) decided a Wanderlodge, even if a lowly LX, looke like a good choice for help. Her story was she was to meet some friends but couldn't find them. We were in a provincial park at the most remote point. This girl was walking and wasn't there by accident. She wanted in to call her mother. I offered to make the call. She gave me a bogus #. I ask if she wanted me to call security. She decided she was cold and just wanted in to warm up. It was a bit above 50. I decided to call security at that point. After making the call I told her. In a language even I could understand she took off down the road. Security arrived and ask which way THEY headed. There had been a team working the park in the past. We had no more problems that night. Next day a local told me it was a common problem in the camp grounds. They were taking liquor, complete ice chests or what ever the could grab and run with.

Yesterday the Youkon River Canoe race started here in Whitehorse. Looked like between 75 and 100 boats everything from paddle boards to 8 man war boats took off. I understand they will cover the distance from here to Dawson in about 48 hours. It has to be over 350 miles. 2 stops for rest along the way. Happy we have a Wanderlodge.

Dawson City yesterday afternoon. Canoes Still arriving from White Horse. No clue who won the race. There are a couple of fires burning and providing us some smoke. One to the south west and the other north west. No threat right here but the smoke shortens the views. Top of the world road in a couple days.

Crossed the Yukon a couple days ago. Top of the World Road was in very good shape compaired to 2015. Worst section was boarder into Chicken. Made it into Tok yesterday. Only wild life spotted was a single ground squirrel. Alaska is having a warm summer chance of a record being set in Ancorage today. They say it may hit 90. Going to watch the 4th of July parade here today and visit the local shop. No plans after that.

Sorry Sis. We have been sitting on Homer Spit for the last week and one half. Beautiful weather but the smoke from the swan lake fire is causing quit a bit of haze. Couple days ago a hump back whale played around right in front of the coach about 100 yards off shore. Fun to watch it chase its dinner.

Tomorrow we head out. Stopping at the Russian river to watch the Bears then on to Seward before appointments in anchorage next week. All is well with us.
