Default 2 wires down by the rear tag cut off and Sump Dump

They are labeled 712 and 757 and also on the other side same color but no numbers. I do not see them listed in any of my books. Anyone have any more info on these?

I am trying to get my Sump Dump light to shut off. The switches are not easy to get to and can I just them to check when I can get access.

Sorry I guess that is 2 questions!

John

712 & 757 may be Speedometer Sensor wires (may not be used on an 88?). I'm not sure I completely understand the second question but don't get under the coach unless it's over a pit or up on ramps or at least properly supported with jack stands and/or cribbing!

Best I can tell 712 & 757 only feed the speedometer but those other two wires you mentioned may possibly be 556 & 557 from the cruise control speed sensor... which (I think) feeds the ECM on a DDEC I.

The other 2 wires are in the same place as the 712 and 757 wires (next to the inside of the wheel) but on the opposite side. So it appears that all 4 were cut 2 on each side for something that went inside or onto the wheel assm.

I am going to try to trace the wires on the other side but it is very difficult in the area they go to.

I think the sensors should be on the drive axle. Use the Google Site Search bar above, to search for terms like speed sensor, speedometer sensor, cruise sensor, notched drums, etc, to find the information you need.

That matches what I speculated in post #4 - cruise control speed sensor wires.
