Lightbulb Show and Tell

Selfishly, I am looking for good ideas for interior upgrade or remodel. That’s right, I said I am selfish and then on top of that I am looking to steal YOUR good idea.

I will probably end up with a coach that will need some manner of interior work, so I would like to build upon what others, who have been there and done that, have figured out through experience.

Show us a particular thing you are proud of about the interior of your coach, please. I say particular because we usually have things that we have had a hand in improving that stand out in our minds as having turned out particularly well.

Looking for detail and specifics here. Was it a color choice or combination? Was it a new fan? How about lighting choices or change from leather to cloth on the furniture that has given you repeated satisfaction every time you happen to gaze, sit, or think about it?

I have not owned a coach before, but in a previous life I owned and lived on a swell 42 LRC Californian (a big boat). I installed a string of rope light in the salon that cast a wonderful, warm glow to the area that looked fantastic, was easy on the eyes and provided just the right amount and type of light to the area.

So, lets hear and see it! Photos, where appropriate, will be much appreciated.

Did you hire a shipwright for your floor? Was there a particular vendor who provided the panel, or did you have an existing modified?

Already done! Simply search the WOG for “NoGas” posts. Our pay it forward for all of the ideas, help & advice we’ve received from fellow WOG members has been to document our 4-year upgrade adventure here on the forum. Some posts include detailed “how to do it” installation instructions and all have pictures. Here’s a sampling of what you’ll find:
  • Ernie installed real maple (engineered) wood flooring, including his trademark zero molding installation
  • Disappearing 4K Samsung TV at foot of a home sized queen bed (see YouTube video)
  • All stainless kitchen appliances including 18 cu ft Samsung refer & Kenyon induction range
  • Custom tiled backsplash in-place of mirrors & wallpaper
  • 6 gal electric water heater supplemented by the std Hurricane diesel fired boiler
  • Coach converted to all-electric (No Gas ) without off grid limitations
  • 1,425 watts of solar installed “streamlined” to keep the M380’s clean lines intact
  • Huge L16 sized AGM coach battery pack relocated to improve weight & balance
  • Magnum pure-sine inverter/charger/solar charge controller
  • RV Safety hardwired 3 camera backup and turn signal controlled video system
  • Winegard-Directv Travler Satelite supplemented by Blueray & AppleTV
  • Straight thru exhaust with wrapped pipe keeps things cool in back and rear closet (see YouTube video)

Enjoy!

Well of course someone has! Thanks for passing that on. Hours of fun reading and dreaming ahead.

Floor is Nautiflor. Not to difficult to install. The panel was existing. I just moved it and added a box behind it with an LED stip for backlighting.
