Default Subwoofer not working

I have realized that my subwoofer is not working. I was never sure I had one until I finally had a chance to look under the couch and there it is.

So, I want to start checking on why it doesn't work.

I'm not even sure if there is a switch for it or if it is supposed to just come on with the stereo. Anyone know how it all works?

The schematics show the subwoofer amp fuse to be SK30 and its in location II - front dash lower front. Anyone know where this fuse panel is?

Also, where is the actual amp located? I'd like to see if it is even getting power or if its just bad. I did some searches, but it wasn't clear to me exactly where the amp is.

Any other things I should check?

Had similar situation - no sub - or anything else for that matter.
My amps were located forward - front - below windshield - behind drawers. Not sure on yours
Found loose speaker wire on sub amp
All my foam speaker surrounds were dry rotted (due to age) - had all reconed

Purchased our bird in April. It also had no subwoofer. Found the 3 amp behind the front center console near the cb radio. There are 2 or 3 relays that are used to provide power to the amps. One of mine needed replacing. Sub now works great.

Jonathan take a look at the speaker itself, it could be dry rotted

My amp is behind the door just under the cupholders. Anyone have a guess as to why my radio sounds great until I shift the tranny into gear?
